Impact strategy

At Conlog, we are committed to making a positive impact on the world around us. Our impact strategy is centred on enriching lives by connecting people with the resources they need to thrive and shape their own destinies. We believe that by fostering these connections, we can transform futures and create a more sustainable and equitable society.

Education and skills development

Empowering individuals with knowledge and skills is at the heart of our social responsibility. Over the years, Conlog has invested in education through bursaries for employees and their children, as well as external students, totalling over 400 scholarships. We also support vocational work by providing experiential learning opportunities and facilitating apprenticeships. Our goal is to equip individuals with the tools they need to secure employment and access better job opportunities. In 2023 alone, Conlog created 946 jobs, demonstrating our commitment to enhancing livelihoods through education.

Health and well-being

The health and well-being of our communities are paramount. We have implemented health initiatives and wellness programs to improve physical and mental health. Additionally, we are dedicated to ensuring access to clean water and sanitation, which are fundamental to a healthy life. Our efforts in this area are designed to create lasting improvements in community health.

Socio-economic development and supplier and enterprise development

We are proud to support local businesses and communities by sourcing 98% of our product content locally. Through entrepreneurship programs, we have enabled local business owners, like Kamgabe, to become suppliers and contribute to our operations. Our goal is to foster economic growth and self-reliance, ultimately strengthening the fabric of local communities.

Environmental stewardship

Sustainability is a core value at Conlog. We are actively involved in green energy projects, waste management, and conservation programs, such as our beach clean-up initiative. Our efforts are aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and minimizing our ecological footprint.

Stakeholder engagement

Engaging with our stakeholders is essential to our impact strategy. We prioritise the well-being of our employees through training, health and safety measures, and a positive workplace culture. For our shareholders, we ensure transparent communication and work towards long-term value creation. Externally, we provide customers with quality products and services that enhance their daily lives. We collaborate with communities, local leaders, NGOs, and suppliers to address needs and business requirements effectively.

Strategic partnerships

Collaboration is key to amplifying our impact. We partner with educational institutions, healthcare providers, NGOs, government bodies, and other companies to share best practices, leverage resources, and form alliances that drive meaningful change.

Conlog’s impact strategy is a testament to our purpose-driven approach to business. By focusing on education, health, economic development, and environmental stewardship, we are not only enriching lives but also building a more resilient and prosperous future for all. Our initiatives are designed to create sustainable outcomes and make a tangible difference in the communities we serve. Together, we are building a better world, one connection at a time.
