At Enlit Africa 2025, Conlog officially launched a new partnership with Plentify, an intelligent home energy company focused on reducing electricity costs and easing pressure on the national grid. The collaboration brings together Conlog’s global smart metering footprint and innovative technology, and Plentify’s appliance control tools: HotBot and SolarBot. The result is a fully integrated energy management system that works quietly in the background to save households money, protect essential services and reduce the need for disruptive load shedding.

Trials of Plentify’s HotBot have already shown strong results — delivering average savings of over R300 per month per home. According to modelling, rolling the technology out to just 25% of households could reduce national rolling blackouts by up to 20 hours each month. 

With Conlog’s smart metering deployed in more than 58 countries, and our participation in South Africa’s RT29 Transversal Contract, the groundwork is already in place for fast, scalable rollout — across municipalities, estates and residential communities.
